A Little About Our Story
Our brand was inspired by my late grandmother Lillie Bell Johnson. She was; an intelligent, well respected mother of 4 daughters, an active member of her church, a spiritual woman filled the gift of premonition-intuitive insight, a widow, the nucleus of our family and the epitome of being a feminine lady. My grandmother took pride in her inner and outer beauty and taught her children and grandchildren to be, 'clean and presentable' in appearance at all times. She also had an affinity for thick, beautiful, long hair. A woman's hair is her crown- beautiful and unique, to be adored like beautiful flowers. I remember my grandmother would buy every cream, grease, and oil that promised hair growth. Some of the products would offer some noticeable growth, but they didn't seem to meet her expectations. She had high hopes and, my grandmother was adamant about finding the right product.
When I was a child, my grandmother would sit me on a coffee can between her legs, and pressed my hair at her stove with an old school pressing comb. Yes, she would use all those products that she bought, thinking they would offer some kind of miracle. I would thank her after she would finish and she would say, "More Hair Grow Hair". Her gracious affirmation instilled a sense of pride and left a desire in me for long, beautiful, healthy hair.
Many years later, I was blessed with my own beautiful daughters. My girls struggled with eczema since they were babies and this resulted in hair loss as they began to grow. I did some research and I began to mix organic oils in hopes of an improvement in their hair. I also continued to affirm, "More Hair Grow Hair" after combing and treating their hair and scalp. In a short period of time-I was able to see life, fullness and length in my daughter's hair. From that point, Miss Lillie Bell's™ was created, in honor of my grandmother. I continue to affirm those words over my hair and my daughter's hair to retain beautiful, healthy hair. That wonderful product that my grandmother desired- has finally been created...
